New Miniature Reed Switch Released

Coto Technology is pleased to announce the official launch of the new CT04 series, the smallest overmolded dry reed switch currently available. Now available in mass production volumes, this encapsulated single-pole, single-throw (SPST) reed switch features normally open ruthenium contacts and is designed as a double-ended type, making it versatile for activation by either an electromagnet, a permanent magnet, or both. The CT04 is intended for SMD applications and is available in either Gull Wing or J-bend lead configurations.

The CT04 is a redesign of Coto’s popular CT05 series, maintaining the same PCB footprint but optimized for higher-volume production. This new version offers the smallest molded reed switch sensor with magnetic switching and insulation properties that outperform other technologies. With hermetically sealed ruthenium contacts, the CT04 is designed for long-lasting performance and is tested to withstand up to 1 billion operations.
